‘The Perfect Wife’ Figurative Bust
Commentary on ‘domestication’ of women in the 1950s and 60s,
and how those gender roles still bleed into today’s society.
‘Profiting Male’ Figurative Bust
Commentary on the idea of gentrification. When placed on his base, the figure takes a different role of a profiting male, walking a lower-income neighborhood. In a process of ‘flipping’ a poorer neighborhood, men such as this one would profit while many residents are displaced from their homes.
